Linklaters has landed a dual role advising La Senza parent company Marnixheath and consultancy giant PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on the administration of the lingerie chain.

La Senza was placed into administration for the second time in two years on Tuesday (1 July).

There are no immediate plans to close any of the lingerie chain's 55 franchise stores, according to administrators, though when La Senza previously went into administration in January 2012, more than 80 branches were closed.

The Linklaters team advising joint administrators PwC includes London banking partners Richard Hodgson and Rebecca Jarvis and corporate partner Nick Garland.

Garland also led a team alongside London restructuring partner David Ereira during La Senza's previous administration in 2012, acting for Alshaya – which later re-branded as Marnixheath – after its acquisition of 60 the reailer's stores.

For that mandate, La Senza was advised by legacy SJ Berwin corporate finance head Steven Davis.

In other restructurings, Hodgson has ongoing roles acting for PwC as administrators of Lehman Brothers' European arm, and also advised the consultancy giant on the administration of GAME Group in 2012.

Linklaters has acted on a number of high profile administrations of high street retailers in recent years, including on the administrations of HMV, Habitat, Blockbusters and Woolworths.
