Herbert Smith Freehills has continued the expansion of its German operation with the hire of a senior partner from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) has continued the expansion of its German operation with the hire of a senior partner from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
Corporate partner Dirk Hamann is co-head of Freshfields' energy and natural resources group and is set to join HSF in September, becoming the firm's seventh partner hire since opening in Germany last year.
Hamann will join HSF's Berlin office, which opened last year, and will focus on advising regulated industries, particularly in the energy sector.
