DAC Beachcroft has cut 62 jobs across the firm, including fee-earners and support roles as the result of a redundancy consultation which began in May.

The redundancies come as the firm is set to vacate its Fountain street office in Manchester, citing market conditions and demands to increase "efficiency and consistency in customer processes".

The majority of the job losses will come directly from the Fountain Street office, with 25 fee earner roles and seven support roles being cut, while a number other positions are being re-located to Birmingham and Newcastle.

A review of the firm's support services has led to another 30 roles being cut from offices across the country, with London seeing the greatest number of losses.

This week the firm posted a 10% drop in profit, despite a rise in total revenue.

Profit for the year stood at £28.6m, down from 2012-13′s figure of £31.8m. There was a resultant 8% drop in profit per equity partner (PEP) to £263,000 from last year's £284,000.

Revenue at the firm grew by 2% to £199.8m up from £188.2m in 2012-13.
