To an undergraduate considering a career in law, the choices can seem daunting.
Firstly, if you are a non-law graduate, you will need to study a year-long conversion course, the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL). You will then need to decide between becoming a solicitor or a barrister, as there are different routes to qualification and career options in each case. If you intend to qualify as a barrister you will need to take the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC).
