Olswang has hired Taylor Wessing's chief information officer Stuart Walters, who becomes the second senior manager to leave the firm in the last six months.

Walters, who will take up the post of global IT director at Olswang, joined Taylor Wessing in 2011 after a five year spell as head of business application at Eversheds.

In his new role he will be "responsible for the IT operations and IT business change initiatives across Olswang international offices", according to his LinkedIn profile. He will take over from Clive Knott, who moved from Olswang to HowardKennedyFsi in January to become its IT director.

Walters' departure follows on the back of financial director Charlotte Beckett's move to Pinsent Masons in April.

Taylor Wessing has yet to formally appoint a replacement for Beckett, but is expected to make an announcement in the coming weeks.

Former Deloitte partner William Barnes is currently acting as interim FD for the firm, and will continue in the role until a permanent appointment is made.

Barnes, who now specialises in taking interim FD roles with professional services firms, acted as interim FD for Taylor Wessing in 2009-10, immediately prior to Beckett's appointment. He has also held interim roles with Clifford Chance, legacy Lawrence Graham and Berwin Leighton Paisner.
