Taylor Wessing's senior partner Adam Marks has been re-elected for a second three-year term in an uncontested election.

Marks was originally elected to the role in 2011 in a two horse race between him and Taylor Wessing's then head of private client, tax and incentives Mark Buzzoni, after incumbent Martin Winter chose not to stand again following six years in the role.

Previously, Marks had served as head of real estate from 2003 to 2007. In an interview with Legal Week shortly after taking on the senior partner role, Marks said he made the decision to step down as head of the group in order to keep in closer touch with clients.

Marks has had roles on numerous deals since becoming senior partner, recently acting on the IPO of IT services provider FDM Group.

Buzzoni now heads up the firm's private capital team, set up to integrate the firm's private client and corporate wealth groups.

The firm is still looking for a new financial director after Charlotte Beckett departed for Pinsent Masons earlier this year.

Internationalisation continues to be a key theme at the firm, which made its first moves into the Korean market with an association with local firm DR & AJU in May, before opening two US offices in New York in Palo Alto last month.
