The role of litigators and arbitrators in global dispute resolution will be addressed by the Rt Hon Lady Justice Gloster at Legal Week's annual Litigation and Arbitration forum.

In her keynote address, Dame Elizabeth Gloster will pose the question: do litigators and arbitrators remain useful business tools in 21st century litigation?

The conference, which will take place in London on 6 November, will bring together an audience of senior litigators and arbitrators from a broad range of jurisdictions.

Jointly chaired by Guy Pendell from CMS UK and Tim Parkes from Herbert Smith Freehills, delegates will hear from experts including Stephen Jagusch, head of arbitration at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, Justice Sir Anthony Colman, international commercial arbitrator and former Deputy Chief Justice at the Dubai International Finance Centre Courts and Michael Stocks, senior counsel, dispute resolution, BAE Systems.

The one-day event will address topics including arbitration in Asia, practical measures to deal with litigation in Russia and the CIS and a practical guide to regulatory investigations as well as covering the most recent updates to the law.

Last year's conference chair King & Wood Mallesons partner Hilton Mervis commented: "This conference is unique as it is the largest and highest profile London-based global disputes event. It combines three conferences in one with choices of topics. This allows the latest legal updates to be covered and caters both for the large in-house contingent and practitioners from other jurisdictions."
