Addleshaw Goddard head of insurance litigation Richard Leedham has left the firm to join Mishcon de Reya.
The news will come as a further blow to the firm, which has already seen the exits of four sector heads this year.
Leedham joined Addleshaw 14 years ago, becoming managing partner of the firm's litigation division in 2010, the same year the firm saw the high profile departure of an 11-strong litigation team to launch their own boutique.
Leedham was replaced in the role by Simon Kamstra in 2012. In a statement Addleshaw Goddard thanked Leedham for his contribution to the firm, referencing his work on the long-running Ablyazov litigation.
Head of dispute resolution at Mishcon de Reya, Kas Nouroozi said: "Richard's appointment adds further expertise and depth of offering with his significant experience in regulatory and fraud litigation - particularly in big insurance disputes."
Last week Mishcons formally launched its business crime group headed byAlison Levitt QC and former director of public prosecutions Sir Keir Starmer QC who has joined the firm as a consultant.
Earlier this year Addleshaw hired Eversheds' head of health and life sciences who joined the firm as a commercial litigation partner, in a move to build up its Leeds office and litigation team.
