Mills & Reeve has overhauled its management team with the appointment of new senior and managing partners.

Justin Ripman will succeed Mark Jeffries as senior partner, while Claire Clarke will take over from Guy Hinchley (pictured) in the managing partner role as of 1 June 2015.

Ripman has been with the firm for 23 years, and previously headed up its private tax team. Clarke has been a partner at the firm since 1999 and currently leads the corporate and commercial services division.

The new management team said they planned to grow the firm's Manchester office after completing a merger with regional firm George Davies last June. There are also plans in place to make the make the firm's Leeds office "closer to full service".

Clarke said the firm's international offering now accounts for around 20% of its business, and will remain an "important focus" after the firm signed an alliance deal with French counterpart Fidal four months ago.

Hinchley will remain a partner at the firm, advising the management team on projects including the delivery of the growth plans in Leeds and Manchester.

Jeffries, who held the managing partner spot at the firm from 2001 to 2007 before Hinchley took up the role, will stay on as a consultant, focusing on client development programmes and the health sector.
