Clifford Chance's (CC) former German corporate head Arndt Stengel in Munich has quit for Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy while two Duesseldorf corporate partners are joining White & Case.

Stengel, who is currently based in Munich, headed up CC's German corporate practice from 2010 until 2013. He was made partner in the firm's corporate practice in 1995 after joining the firm in 1991. His clients include Hg Capital and Rockwood Holdings.

His hire comes after Milbank last week hired Linklaters' global energy co-head Matthew Hagopian and partner Manzer Ijaz in London (February 25).

Meanwhile Duesseldorf corporate, M&A and environment partners Peter Rosin and Thomas Burmeister have also quit the firm to join White & Case. The pair are expected to join the firm in May and will work in the corporate and M&A practices in the city.
