Lawyers in Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer's Hong Kong office made up nearly a quarter of the firm's new partners in its 2015 promotions round as the total number of appointments across the firm increased.
Four partners were made up in Hong Kong as the number promoted in the City office fell to three, down from five in 2014.
Two partners were made up in Germany, along with appointments in Madrid, Vienna, Dubai, Tokyo and New York.
The firm increased the number of partner promotions in its 2015 round, compared with 2014, adding 17 new partners to its ranks.
The number of appointments, which take effect from 1 May, is an increase from the 15 lawyers made up last year.
By practice area, dispute resolution saw the most promotions with five, closely followed by corporate and finance, both with four.
Six of the 17 new partners are women. From 1 May, 58 of the firm's 434 global partners will be women, taking the total percentage of female partners at the firm to 13%.
The number of promotions in 2015 is three up on the number in 2013, but still down on the 20-strong partner appointment round in 2012.
Freshfields senior partner Will Lawes said the new partners were a "fantastically talented and very international group" with an "outstanding track record of working with our key clients".
He added: "I am confident that their contribution will further enhance our client offering and help enormously to grow our global business."
