Irwin Mitchell has hired three partners into its business legal services (BLS) division, bulking out its corporate, real estate and pension teams.

The firm has made eight lateral partner hires into its BLS arm since the start of 2015.

Eversheds planning partner Martha Grekos will now be heading up planning in Irwin Mitchell's London office.

She has previously advised on national energy and infrastructure projects including High Speed 2 and Crossrail 2.

Pinsent Masons corporate partner Philip Goldsborough has joined Irwin Mitchell in Leeds, becoming the sixth partner in the firm's Yorkshire-based corporate team.

DWF north-west head of pensions Andrew Ashley Taylor has also joined Irwin Mitchell. His move follows Irwin Mitchell's hire of DWF pensions head Martin Jenkins in December.

Three pensions associates have made the move across from DWF with Taylor.

According to the firm Taylor's appointment is "part of an investment by Irwin Mitchell to bolster its pensions team".

The chief executive of Irwin Mitchell's BLS division, Niall Baker, hinted that more senior hires were in the pipeline, saying that he looked forward to "making further announcements soon".
