White & Case has announced that it has re-elected chairman Hugh Verrier for a third consecutive four-year term, which will start in September this year.

Verrier was first voted into the position in 2007 and will now remain in post until 2019.

Project finance lawyer Verrier said he was "grateful for the opportunity" to lead the firm for the next four years.

He added: "As we move forward, we are focused on smart growth and strengthening our capabilities in key markets, attracting and retaining the best talent, and building relationships with clients to support their evolving needs."

White & Case said Verrier had made just one change to the firm's three-strong executive committee.

Sao Paulo capital markets partner Donald Baker has been appointed this year, replacing Brussels competition partner Jacquelyn MacLennan.

New York banking partner David Koschik and London employment partner Oliver Brettle were reappointed, having served on the committee since 2011 and 2009 respectively.

White & Case also revealed the result of the election of its partnership committee, the members of which also serve on the new partners' committee and the compensation committee.

London commercial litigator Jason Yardley has been re-elected for a second four-year term, starting in September.

The other seven partners will all be serving their first term on the committee.

Besides Yardley the committee will consist of New York tax partner James Hayden, New York commercial litigator David Hille, New York asset finance partner and Americas energy head Someera Khokhar, New York commercial litigator and pharmaceuticals and healthcare head Heather McDevitt, Paris M&A partner Francois Leloup, Frankfurt capital markets partner Jochen Artzinger-Bolten and former executive committee member Jacquelyn MacLennan.
