King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has lost two more London partners, with one joining Mishcon de Reya and the other set to depart for Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson after a number of exits from the firm in the UK.

Intellectual Property (IP) partner Ray Black has joined Mishcons after more than 24 years at KWM. He established legacy firm SJ Berwin's IP practice in London in 1991. Black trained and qualified at Slaughter and May before moving to Baker & McKenzie in Hong Kong, where he became an IP partner in 1982.

Meanwhile, regulatory partner Gregg Beechey is joining Fried Frank as a partner in the asset management practice. Beechey had been at the firm since 2000. He joined from asset management company Schroders, where he was a compliance assistant. His start date at Fried Frank is not known.

His exit follows KWM's hire of Fried Frank private equity partner Laura Brunnen for its London office last week (1 July).

However, there have also been a string of other departures from KWM over the past 18 months.

Last week private equity partner Simon Fulbrook left the firm's City arm to join Goodwin Procter (1 July).

In April KWM corporate co-head Richard Lever left to join Goodwin Procter's London office and spearhead the growth of its private equity practice.

In March the firm's litigation head, Alex Leitch, departed for Covington & Burling as a partner in its litigation practice.

Last year KWM's former corporate chief, Steven Davis, joined Proskauer Rose in September. In May 2014 private equity partner Tim Wright left to join DLA Piper, while corporate finance partner Ed Harris defected to Hogan Lovells in February that year.
