Bird & Bird has posted flat revenue for the 2014-15 financial year, reporting a revenue figure of £259m.

The firm reports its revenue in Euros, which showed a 6.4% increase from €305.6m to €325.5m. But it said revenue in sterling remained flat due to fluctuations in exchange rates.

In 2013-14 the firm reported that its revenue had grown by £10m, from £249m the previous year to £259m.
Bird & Bird declined to report firm-wide profit or profit per equity partner numbers for 2014-15

In a statement the firm described the results as, "a solid performance across the firm, in the face of challenging economic conditions in many of our major markets."

During the year Bird & Bird expanded into Australia following a merger with eight partner Sydney firm Truman Hoyle. The deal cemented a relationship between the two firms that dated back to 2013. The expansion took Bird & Bird's office count to 27 worldwide.

The firm made 28 lateral hires over the period.

The firm has also been eyeing European expansion. It plans to open an office in Luxembourg and has applied to the national Bar for a licence. The focus of the office will be intellectual property work.
