Portugal's Vieira de Almeida hires six partner team from rival Miranda
Firm picks-up team of around 20 lawyers from rival Portuguese firm as it looks to extend its reach into oil and gas market

Portuguese firm Vieira de Almeida (VdA) has hired a team of around 20 lawyers, including six partners, from rival firm Miranda Correia Amendoeira & Associados.
The team making the jump includes Miranda chairman Rui Amendoeira, who will join VdA's board, as well as corporate partner Joao Fialho, litigation head Rui Andrade and Raul Cerveira, corporate partner Paulo Costa and tax partner Samuel Almeida and of counsel Mathieu Le Roux.
A spokesperson for Miranda said the number of lawyers leaving for VdA was "around 20″ but declined to give an exact figure.
