Greenberg Traurig Maher and Squire Patton Boggs win roles on Rentokil deal
Firms suit up for Rentokil's $425m acquisition of North American pest control company Steritech

Greenberg Traurig Maher (GTM) and Squire Patton Boggs have lined up for Rentokil Initial's takeover of North American pest control company the Steritech Group.
GTM is acting for Rentokil on the $425m (£279.5m) takeover of Steritech, which will enshrine Rentokil's position as the third largest pest control company in the United States and promote it to the third largest pest control company in Canada.
The GTM team on the deal is being led by London chairman Paul Maher and Miami corporate partner and Latin America co-chair Yosbel Ibarra.
They are being assisted by Miami corporate partner Antonio Pena, competition partners Andrew Berg and Gillian Sproul in Washington DC and London respectively and employment partner Todd Wozniak in Atlanta.
Also on the deal are employee benefits partners Mindy Leathe and Michael Einig in Miami, tax partner Seth Entin in Miami, intellectual property partner Manny Valcarcel in Miami, environment partner Sean Bezark in Chicago and trade and export regulation partner Kara Bombach in Washington DC.
Rentokil's Canadian counsel for the deal is Wildeboer Dellelce. Its team is led by Toronto corporate partner Rory Cattanach.
Steritech is being represented by Squire Patton Boggs. Its key partner on the deal is Washington DC corporate lawyer Abby Brown.
She is being assisted by DC corporate partner Jonathan Pavony, DC tax partner Sean Clancy, Cleveland employee benefits partner Carl Draucker, DC antitrust partner Anthony Swisher, DC environment partner Russ Randle and Columbus employment partner Jill Kirila.
GTM's Paul Maher has known Rentokil's chief executive Andy Ransom since they worked together at chemical company ICI in the 1980s.
In 2014 GTM advised Rentokil on the sale of its facilities management business to Interserve for £250m.
