Corporate legal chief Natalie Jobling is leaving Network Rail after a nine year tenure.

Jobling joined Network Rail in 2006 as head of commercial legal services, after leaving GE corporate finance where she was European head of legal.

She was part of a team of four senior Network Rail lawyers who reported to group GC Suzanne Wise.

Last year Jobling advised the rail company on its nationalisation process and the discussions with the government during this period.

Jobling was shortlisted for Legal Week's British Legal Awards General Counsel of the Year in 2014.

Network Rail's most recent panel review in 2013 saw the body cut back the number of firms which had full service contracts from twelve to five. Those now on the panel include Bond Dickinson, Dentons, Eversheds and Addleshaw Goddard for England and Wales, and Maclay Murray and Spens for Scotland.

Network Rail has not yet announced a replacement, and Jobling has not confirmed her next role.
