US firms Chadbourne & Parke and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman are in preliminary merger discussions.
The move would create a firm with over 1,000 lawyers in 21 locations around the world.
Pillsbury is the larger firm, with approximately 300 partners and 300 other lawyers. It has offices in Abu Dhabi, Austin, Beijing, Houston, London, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, Northern Virginia, Palm Beach, Sacramento, San Diego, San Diego North County, San Francisco, Shanghai, Silicon Valley, Tokyo and Washington DC.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
