Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz is advising both payment processing company Square and dating app Tinder's parent company Match Group as the pair make initial public offerings (IPOs).

The firm's team advising Square on its float on the New York Stock Exchange is being led by corporate partners David Karp, Ronald Chen and Gordon Moodie from the New York office.

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett is acting as counsel for the IPO's underwriters, with a team led by capital markets partners Daniel Webb and Bill Hinman in the firm's Palo Alto office.

Wachtell also advised Match Group, parent company of online dating sites Match.com and OkCupid.com, on its initial public offering.

Match Group raised $400m offering the shares equivalent to about a 14% stake in the company on the NASDAQ today.

The Wachtell New York-based advisory team was led by corporate partners Andrew Nussbaum and Ante Vucic.

Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom is advising Match Group's underwriters, with corporate finance partner David Goldschmidt leading the team.

Earlier this month, Wachtell landed an advisory role on Visa Europe Limited's €16.5bn (£11.8bn) sale to Visa Inc.

In October, the firm won a lead advisory role on what is believed to be the largest technology deal ever as computing giant Dell acquired data storage company EMC for $67bn (£44bn).

Wachtell advised Dell's owners, founder Michael Dell and private equity companies MSD Partners. Moodie led that team alongside Wachtell's corporate practice US co-chair Steven Rosenblum.
