Michael Chissick has been re-elected as Fieldfisher's managing partner for a second term.

Chissick was first elected in February 2013. Under his leadership the firm has gone through a full rebrand, moved its London office to new premises and merged with Manchester-based firm Heatons.

He stood for re-election unopposed and his second term will start on 1 May 2016.

Chissick said: "It's been very much business as usual while the election process has been ongoing and in that regard nothing will change now that it's over. I believe the proof is there that we are in a much better place now than three years ago."

Prior to assuming to role of managing partner Chissick ran the firm's technology, outsourcing and privacy law group.

His re-election comes ahead of the election process for the firm's senior partner position held by Matthew Lohn.

Separately, Fieldfisher has hired dispute resolution partner Vivien Davies, who joins from Edwin Coe where she heads the firm's Middle East and North Africa (MENA) group.

Davies, who has a particular focus on banking disputes and banking securities litigation, will join Fieldfisher on 7 December.

Earlier this month Fieldfisher reported an 8% rise in half-year revenue to
