Global claimant firm Hausfeld has announced it is filing a class action lawsuit against car manufacturer Volkswagen over the ongoing emissions scandal the company is embroiled in.
The Volkswagen emissions scandal centres on the finding that the company fitted diesel cars with software that would rig US emissions tests to allow it to sell cars in the States that would otherwise breach environmental laws. The company has since said 8.26m cars in Europe also have the same test cheating software.
Hausfeld will file the class action in Berlin, where it launched an office last month.
