Bakers hires disputes partner from Eversheds while HFW picks up two corporate partners from Reed Smith

Baker & McKenzie and Holman Fenwick Willan have both made lateral partner hires in London.
Bakers has added Evershsheds dispute resolution partner Andy Moody who has been a partner at the firm for the last five years.
Moody, who will join Bakers in early 2016, has extensive experience on a wide range of commercial disputes and has a particular focus on international arbitration. He has also advised on a number of financial sector and post-M&A disputes.
The firm's London managing partner Paul Rawlinson said that Moody's appointment "would add considerably" to the firm's dispute resolution and international arbitration practices and demonstrates Bakers' "absolute commitment to growing its UK dispute resolution practice in line with client needs and the firm's strategic growth".
Moody's move followsa spate of hires for the firm's London dispute resolution practice including Jonathan Peddie, former global head of financial crime at Barclays; Nadia Banno, formerly head of litigation at the BBC and international arbitration and litigation partner Steve Abraham who joined from Norton Rose.
Meanwhile Holman Fenwick Willan has snapped up two London corporate partners from Reed Smith.
Corporate partners James Wilson and Giles Beale were also partners at Reed Smith.
Beale and Wilson focus on corporate finance and M&A, particularly focusing on equity capital markets. They advise clients on AIM and main market initial public offerings and takeovers.
Brian Gordon, the firm's head of corporate said: "Despite the market downturn, and by working closely with our wider legal service and industry sector groups, we are seeing significant opportunities to help domestic and international clients take advantage of transactional opportunities when and where required."
