Mishcon de Reya has hired the London general manager of alternative legal services provider Axiom as chief strategy officer at the firm.
Nick West joined Mishcon's senior management team in the newly-created role yesterday.
Axiom specialises in technology-enabled legal services and West's role at Mishcon is expected to have a particular focus on the firm's use of technology across all practice areas and back office work.
Sara Morgan, who has been with the business for six years working across a variety of platforms, replaces West at Axiom.
Last year Mishcon announced that its London arm brought in £110m in revenue in 2014-15, achieving its £100m turnover target, laid out in its three-year business plan in 2012, a year early.
The firm's City office revenue figure represented a 12% uplift from the £97.8m it reported in 2013-14.
Managing partner Kevin Gold said hitting the target early "illustrated the value of focusing the firm's efforts into these key areas" and pledged to continue with this approach in its new 10-year strategy, which is currently being consulted on.
In September, Mishcon emerged as one of the fastest growing law firms in the UK over the last five years, according to data compiled by Legal Week.
Of the ten firms that recorded the highest revenue growth over the last five years, Mishcons was the only one not to undertake a major merger during that period.
The firm's revenue has increased by 146% over the period, leaping from £47.5m to £116.7m.
