Linklaters and Allen & Overy act on £1bn spread betting company's London IPO
Magic circle duo appointed on retail financial services company CMC Markets' upcoming IPO

Linklaters and Allen & Overy have been appointed on online retail financial services company CMC Markets upcoming initial public offering (IPO).
The company, which has been valued at £1bn, will be the first flotation on the London Stock Exchange in 2016.
Allen & Overy is advising the underwriters, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Royal Bank of Canada.
The Allen & Overy team is being led by corporate partner David Broadley and US securities partner Adam Wells. Partner Damian Carolan is advising on regulatory issues.
Linklaters is acting for CMC Markets. Corporate partner Iain Wagstaff is leading on UK aspects of the deal while London-based US securities partner Patrick Sheil is advising on US aspects of the flotation.
A&O has acted on a run of IPOs in recent months. In October 2015 advised retirement housebuilder McCarthy & Stone on its London Stock Exchange IPO.
On that deal corporate partner Richard Browne led, with support from corporate partner James Roe, and US securities partner Adam Wells.
In September 2015 Allen & Overy acted for payments processing company Worldpay on its IPO. On that deal corporate partners Duncan Bellamy and David Broadley led alongside US securities partner Jeff Hendrickson.
In June 2014 Linklaters' Sheil advised food outlet operator SSP on its IPO alongside corporate partner David Avery Gee.

The complaint, filed Sept. 30 in New York Southern District Court by the Securities and Exchange Commission, accuses the defendants of using consulting agreements, attorney opinion letters and other mechanisms to skirt regulations limiting stock sales by affiliate companies and allowing the defendants to unlawfully profit from sales of Enzolytics stock.
