In this video, regular attendees at Legal Week's annual Trust and Estates Litigation Forum, including Baker & McKenzie's Anthony Poulton, Shan Warnock-Smith QC of 5 Stone Buildings & ICT Chambers and XXIV Old Buildings' Elspeth Talbot Rice QC, discuss the highlights from last year's event and why you should attend this year's tenth anniversary conference.

This year's event, which will be held in Provence from 10-12 March, will centre around the theme of learning from the past and reflecting on the future. Warnock-Smith will chair the event, and she will be joined by Poulton and Katten Muchin Rosenman partner Joshua Rubenstein for a panel debate which will look back over the last 10 years and assess whether previous predictions have come true.

There will also be sessions on costs, philanthropy and restructuring trusts, while Talbot Rice will take part in a panel discussion, alongside Macfarlanes partner Charles Lloyd, Mourant Ozannes Jersey managing partner Jonathan Speck and Appleby Global partner Keith Robinson, which will consider whether protectors are more trouble than they are worth. Meanwhile, Catherine Newman QC of Maitland Chambers will lead a session during which the most influential case of recent years is up for debate.
