Allen & Overy's (A&O) Italian offering has seen another practice head exit less than a month after its senior partner, who was also its capital markets head, left the firm with a team of lawyers.

Silvia D'Alberti, who is currently head of A&O's antitrust group in Italy, is leaving the magic circle firm for Gattai Minoli Agostinelli & Partners along with senior associate Fabiana Campopiano. Ex-A&O senior associate Claudia Cattarin is also set to join the Italian firm.

Gattai Minoli Agostinelli has offices in Milan, Rome and London. D'Alberti and the team will be based in the Rome office.

The team's arrival will launch the Italian firm's first antitrust practice. Their start date at Gattai Minoli Agostinelli has not yet been set.

D'Alberti leaves A&O after spending 18 years at the firm. She has experience in representing major Italian and multinational companies in proceedings concerning alleged collusion, market abuse, unfair market practices, antitrust damages actions and administrative litigations.

Last month A&O Italy senior partner Massimiliano Danusso joined Slaughters and May's local best friend Bonelli Erede alongside eight other lawyers from the magic circle firm's Italy arm.

Danusso, who also heads A&O's Italian capital markets practice, joined Bonelli as London managing partner and a partner within the banking and finance practice. That team will work across London, Rome and Milan.

A&O has not yet announced the appointment of a replacement Italy senior partner.
