EE general counsel holds on to role in wake of £12.5bn BT merger
James Blendis retains role and gains place on legal leadership team led by group GC Dan Fitz following BT's takeover of the UK's largest mobile operator

UK mobile business EE's general counsel (GC), James Blendis, is to retain his role following the company's high profile £12.5bn merger with BT in January, it has emerged.
BT opted to keep the EE name for its mainstream mobile brand after it acquired the UK's largest mobile operator.
The rest of the EE legal team are currently undergoing a review that will last until early April, Blendis confirmed.
