Pinsent Masons has promoted 18 lawyers to its partnership, which marks a fall on last year's 29-strong promotion round.
Eight of those being promoted are women, which will bring the proportion of women in the Pinsents' partnership to 23%.
In 2014 the firm set itself a target to have 25% of its partnership made up of women by 2018.
The 2016 promotions round includes the first partner to be made up in the firm's Paris office. New partner Annabelle Richard will work in the firm's telecommunications, media and technology team (TMT). Her promotion brings the partner headcount in the Paris office to 13.
The other 17 partners promoted are in the UK.
Richard Foley, senior partner of Pinsent Masons (pictured above), said: "This group will play a significant part in ensuring that our business achieves its vision of becoming an international market leader in the global sectors in which we operate."
The promotions take effect from 1 May 2016.
Last year the firm promoted 24 partners in the UK and five across Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Munich. Eleven of the 29 promoted in 2015 were women.
