Slaughter and May, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Latham & Watkins are among a host of leading law firms shortlisted for the Transatlantic Legal Awards, which take place in London on 7 June.
The awards are hosted by Legal Week and sister title The American Lawyer and recognise excellence in handling transatlantic legal work across practices including corporate, finance and disputes.
Taking place on the evening of 7 June at The Fishmongers' Hall, London Bridge, the ceremony will follow the Transatlantic General Counsel Summit, in which general counsel from both sides of the Atlantic will meet to debate the key legal, strategic and geopolitical issues facing their legal teams.
Slaughters and Latham are both shortlisted in the Transatlantic Law Firm of the Year category, while Freshfields is in contention for Germany Law Firm of the Year.

Among the individual finalists in the dealmaker categories are longstanding Anheuser-Busch InBev adviser George White, of Sullivan & Cromwell; and Slaughters' Martin Hattrell, who advised Shire on its $32bn takeover of Baxalta.
The law firm leaders category sees Joe Conroy, chief executive of Cooley; Peter Martyr, chief executive of Norton Rose Fulbright; and John Quinn, of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, in contention. Meanwhile, General Electric Company, King Digital Entertainment, Liberty Global and Microsoft Corporation are all in the running to be named In-house Team of the Year.
