King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has made up three London partners in its Europe, Middle East and North America promotions round.

Litigator Darren Roiser, international funds lawyer Rob Mailer and funds and real estate lawyer Marc Snell have been promoted to partner in the firm's London office.

The trio make up half of this year's Europe, Middle East and North America promotion round, which has been backdated to 1 May.

Real estate lawyer Florian Biesalski has joined the firm's Munich partnership, while litigation lawyer Joanne Strain has joined its Dubai partnership.

International funds lawyer Parik Dasgupta is the sole addition to the firm's North American partnership. He joins its New York office.

The firm is yet to announce its China partnership promotions.

The global firm is made up of three businesses that operate different financial years and different partner promotion rounds.

China's partner promotion round comes into effect on 3 April while Australia's comes into effect on 1 July.

Last year, the firm made up four lawyers to partner in Europe as part of its global round, which saw a total of 36 join the global partnership.

This year's appointments come in the midst of a restructuring, which will see the firm cut 15% of its Europe and Middle East partnership.

Earlier this month, Legal Week revealed that the firm is facing a rent hike at its 10 Queen Street Place London base.

KWM's landlord reviewed the firm's rent at its London offices in December last year, informing KWM that a "substantial uplift" was likely for the riverside location that legacy SJ Berwin moved into in 2006.
