Dentons has hired corporate real estate partner Jonathan Cantor from Nabarro. Cantor specialises in real estate indirect investment and funds. His work spans the corporate real estate sector, including office developments, retail, hotels, infrastructure, logistics and healthcare. He became a partner at Nabarro in 2007.

Dentons has also hired corporate partner Chris Watkinson from Czech firm BBH. He led the English law desk at the firm and will now split his time between Dentons' Budapest and Prague offices.

Gibson Dunn & Crutcher has hired corporate partner Ferdinand Fromholzer from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Munich.

King & Wood Mallesons has boosted its Middle East offering with the hire of partner Glenn Lovell from the Riyadh office of Al Tamimi & Company. Lovell joins KWM's Riyadh office in association with the Law Office of Majed Almarshad.

McDermott Will & Emery has appointed Simon Goldring as a partner in its London private client practice. Goldring joins from Trowers & Hamlins, where he was a partner and head of the firm's private wealth department.

Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom has hired Robert Porter as counsel in London. Porter joins from Reed Smith, where he was a partner in the private equity real estate practice between 2014 and 2016. He will head Skadden's European real estate private equity initiative. Previously, Porter worked at Allen & Overy for nine years, which included heading the firm's Qatar office between 2010 and 2013. He was a partner at Clifford Chance between 2000 and 2004 and prior to that, was a partner at CMS Cameron McKenna.

Barrister Hugh O'Donovan has joined Keystone Law from Ince & Co. O'Donovan, who was head of commercial aviation at Ince, focuses on regulatory aviation matters and commercial and competition law.

Kennedys has recruited partner Marian Brennan to join its insurance liability team in Dublin. She joins from Corrigan & Corrigan, where she worked for 13 years.

DWF has launched a counterfraud team in Scotland, with the hire of partner Jill Sinclair from Harper Macleod. Sinclair, who is based in Glasgow, will be head of counterfraud for DWF in Scotland.

Irwin Mitchell real estate partner Claire Quinn has joined the Law Society as its relationship manager for the north of England. The role involves building relationships with firms and solicitors in order to better understand their views. Quinn joined Irwin Mitchell in Manchester in 2013, having previously been a legal director at DLA Piper.
