Rob Moulton LathamLatham & Watkins has made a senior hire for its London office with the addition of Rob Moulton, Ashurst's global co-head of financial regulation.

Moulton, who will join Latham's financial institutions group in the City, has two decades of experience advising a wealth of financial institutions, including investment banks, governments and corporate finance houses.

He has been a partner at Ashurst since 2010 when he joined from Nabarro, where he was head of financial services regulation. He is also a member of the City of London Corporation's international regulatory strategy group.

His departure date from Ashurst is yet to be confirmed.

Latham London office managing partner Jay Sadanandan said: "Rob's broad experience and industry knowledge will be critical to the growth of a top-tier regulatory practice in London – a major finance centre that is key to our plans to continue building the foremost integrated global financial regulatory practice.

"His arrival will represent a significant piece of the puzzle as we look to deepen our regulatory capability across the world's major financial markets."

Ashurst has seen several partners depart its London office recently. In April, financial regulatory partner James Perry left for Gibson Dunn, a move that will reunite him with several former colleagues. Later that month, London corporate partner Jonathan Parry moved to White & Case.
