Asia Transfer Window: hires for Jones Day, Skadden and Clyde & Co
Holman Fenwick Willan and House William Bowers have also made hires in the region

Jones Day has hired three partners from Hogan Lovells in Singapore, including global infrastructure head James Harris. Harris is joined by infrastructure and energy partner Bruce Schulberg and oil and gas partner Alex Cull.
In addition to the trio, Jones Day has hired China counsel Kanyi Lui from the Anglo-American firm in Beijing and Singapore counsel Julien Reidy, with both joining as partners.
French firm Gide Loyrette Nouel has closed its operations in Hong Kong, with partner Gilles Cardonnel joining Hong Kong firm Howse Williams Bowers under a new best friends arrangement.
Cardonnel joins along with associate Carmen Che. Gide now has three Asia offices – in Beijing, Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh.
In Vietnam, RHTLaw Taylor Wessing has merged with its local firm PBC Partners. The two firms formed an alliance in 2014 under the banner of PBC Partners & RHTLaw. The new firm will have 25 lawyers and will be led by Tran Thanh Hai as managing partner and Benjamin Yap as senior partner.
Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom has hired Morrison & Foerster corporate finance partner Kenji Taneda to join its Tokyo office. Taneda, who is New York qualified, focuses his practice on advising issuers and underwriters in capital markets matters, including offerings by Japanese corporates, financial institutions and sovereign entities.
In Hong Kong, Troutman Sanders has hired Sidley Austin capital markets partner Jason Kuo. New York-qualified Kuo has worked on transactions involving issuers from China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan. He also has experience of high yield debt offerings and tender offers.
Clyde & Co has hired a second partner from DLA Piper, bringing on board financial services expert Joyce Chan.
JP Morgan assistant general counsel Antony Yung has joined Howse William Bowers as a partner in Hong Kong. Prior to joining the bank in 2007, Yung was at legacy Mallesons Stephen Jaques and worked at DLA Piper before that. In Hong Kong, the firm has also hired property lawyer Janet Lee, who joins the firm as a partner from the Hong Kong Lands Department.
In Beijing, PRC firm AnJie Law Firm has raided its competitors to bring on board three capital markets partners. Grandway Law Offices partner Feng Cuixi, Zhong Yin Law Firm's Zhang Di, and investment company ZZ Capital's Ji Zhenggang, have all joined the firm.
In Singapore, disputes partner Chenthil Kumarasingam has moved from Quahe Woo & Palmer to Oon & Bazul, while Wong Tan & Molly Lim partner Lim Kok Meng has jumped ship to Aquinas Law Alliance in the city-state.
Stephenson Harwood's Hong Kong construction head Martin Downey has joined Holman Fenwick Willan's office in the special administrative region.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

Yalowitz of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer have entered their appearances for Hanaco Venture Capital and its executives, Lior Prosor and David Frankel, in a pending securities lawsuit. The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
