Olswang head of telecommunications Purvi Parekh has become the latest major partner to leave the firm.

Parekh joined Olswang in 2009 and became head of the telecoms practice in 2014. Her next career move is unknown.

Parekh's exit comes after a raft of high profile departures including, most recently, former head of corporate, private equity and venture capital Stephen Rosen, who joined Cooley's new London office in January this year. He first confirmed his departure in March 2015.

An Olswang spokesperson thanked Parekh for her contribution to the firm.

She added: "Partner Rob Bratby, who recently returned to the London office having led the firm's Singapore operations for several years, has taken a global telecoms and emerging markets role for the firm."

Parekh joined the firm in 2009 from DLA Piper, where she was a partner and head of its European telecoms commercial and regulatory practice.

She trained and qualified at Mishcon de Reya, before spending a year in-house at Atlantic Telecom.

Olswang is currently in merger talks with CMS Cameron McKenna. The firm had merger talks with CMS two years ago but the two firms were unable to come to an agreement.

Olswang has also been linked to a number of other firms this year, including Simmons & Simmons, Osborne Clarke and Bird & Bird.
