Two Dentons private equity partners are departing the firm's London office for rival US firms.

Igor Krivoshekov, who has been a partner at Dentons for six years, is set to join Akin Gump in December. He has a particular focus on the energy and natural resources sector. Prior to joining Dentons, he was a partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf for seven years.

Meanwhile, Eleanor Shanks, who was made up to the partnership in 2014, joined Proskauer Rose's London office from Dentons today (30 August). She joined Dentons in 2012 as a senior associate from Gibson Dunn & Crutcher.

Akin Gump chair Kim Koopersmith said Krivoshekov will be "instrumental" in the ongoing expansion of the firm's energy offering. "He advises on highly complex private equity transactions and, with his extensive history of dealmaking, will be an invaluable resource to our clients, particularly those in the energy space."

Sebastian Rice, partner in charge of Akin Gump's London office, added: "Igor has worked with leading private equity houses across Europe on some very significant transactions, in particular in emerging markets."

Dentons recently grew its City ranks with the arrival of a four-partner real estate team from Irwin Mitchell.

London real estate head Rob Thompson is joining Dentons alongside real estate partners Lewis Myers and Rupert Dowdell, and corporate real estate partner Jayne Schnider.
