Ulmer joined A&O as a partner in 2006 from German firm Hengeler Mueller.

Cleary managing partner Mark Leddy said: "Our German corporate and M&A practice has handled significant assignments for our domestic and international clients for many years.  Adding Michael to our German practice will strengthen both our German and cross-border M&A offerings."
