Hogan Lovells is debating a move to a new London headquarters.

The Anglo-American firm is looking to take on a 350,000 sq ft space in London, slightly less than the 360,000 sq ft it currently occupies across three different sites in the capital.

The bulk of the firm has been housed in Atlantic House (pictured above) since 2001, but the firm also has space in 21 Holborn Viaduct and Meriden House. It now wants to house all of its London lawyers in a single building.

The lease for all three locations is due to expire in 2026, with break clauses in 2019 and 2023.

A spokesperson said Hogan Lovells had not yet made a definite decision to move and was also in discussions with its current landlord.

News of the potential move comes as Bird & Bird this week moved into new office space at 12 New Fetter Lane.

The firm sealed a pre-let deal with Great Portland Estates for the 147,000 sq ft new build in 2013.

Last year, Ashurst signed a deal to move its London headquarters to Spitalfields, with the firm planning to relocate to the London Fruit & Wool Exchange building after it is redeveloped.

The firm has signed a 20-year lease to take on around 275,000 sq ft in the new development at 1-10 Brushfield Street, which is due to complete in 2018.

It will mark the end of a 30-year stay in Appold Street, where Ashurst occupies just over 200,000 sq ft across two buildings at Broadwalk House and Broadgate Quarter. Broadwalk House is due to be redeveloped after the current lease expires in 2019, and Broadgate Quarter is not large enough to accommodate the London office on its own.
