TLT has re-elected its managing partner David Pester for a sixth three-year term.

The unanimous vote means Pester will have been at the firm's helm for 18 years, should his new term end at the expected time in April 2020.

He first became managing partner in 2002 and his new three-year stint will start in April 2017.

Pester has been with the firm since its inception in 2000. Under his management, revenues have quadrupled to £71.6m in 2015-16.

Pester said: "Our ambition at the start was to create a strong UK firm with a clear idea of the industries it would support and with the investment capacity and expertise to deliver a standout client service. That vision is still at the heart of what the firm stands for today, as we prepare to kick off our new 2020 strategy."

Senior partner Andrew Glynn, who led the election process, said: "Under David's leadership we are transforming the business, winning market share and expanding across the UK in a highly competitive market. TLT is marked by its willingness to adapt and respond to a changing market."

During Pester's time as managing partner the firm has grown to have six offices across England, Scotland and Belfast, as well as a base in Piraeus, with the firm now employing about 1,000 people.

TLT added four new partners in its 2016 promotion round to take its total partnership to 115. In 2015, the Bristol-headquartered firm added six new partners, compared to four additions in both 2014 and 2013.

The latest promotions were in the real estate, energy, banking and private client practices.
