Fieldfisher to offer training contracts in Birmingham following its launch in the city last year

Fieldfisher has announced its first training contract scheme in Birmingham, set to launch in September 2017.
In November last year, Fieldfisher merged with Birmingham firm Hill Hofstetter, giving the firm a base in the city.
The firm is looking to recruit one to two autumn trainees. All applicants will need to have passed the LPC and be ready to start in September.
Although the trainees will be based in Birmingham, they will have the opportunity to do work in other offices and abroad.
Verbal reasoning tests and inductive reasoning tests will be part of the application process. The deadline for the process will close on 15 April.
Trainees will have the opportunity to rotate between four practice areas including employment, real estate, dispute resolution and corporate.
Chris Hill, Fieldfisher's managing partner in Birmingham, said: "This is the first trainee scheme since we merged with Fieldfisher. We are delighted to offer this opportunity and know that our new trainees will benefit from working across our European network and international clients."
News emerged last week that Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) is to begin offering training contracts in its Manchester office for the first time in September.
BLP's Manchester office opened in August 2014 with four qualified lawyers, as part of a push to offer more cost-efficient services to clients. It now has 80 members of staff, including associates, paralegals, legal apprentices and business services staff.
