Pernod Ricard's senior legal adviser and compliance officer Ingrid Cope is joining the Coca-Cola Company at its UK and Ireland legal head.

Cope will join the fizzy drinks producer on 10 April, after spending four years at Pernod Ricard.

Pernod Ricard produces alcohol brands such as Absolut Vodka, Beefeater London Gin and Havana Club rum.

While at Pernod Ricard, Cope managed litigation, regulatory compliance and led the legal team that supported the UK and Europe businesses' commercial operations.

Prior to Cope's time at Pernod Ricard, she held a number of in-house roles including a one-year stint at the Office of Fair Trading and four years as legal counsel for food and drink company H J Heinz Company.

She was previously a lawyer at Clifford Chance and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Last year, home improvement company Kingfisher's group general counsel Clare Wardle left to join bottling company Coca Cola European Partners. Wardle joined the company shortly after it was created by the merger of Coca-Cola Enterprises, Coca-Cola Iberian Partners, and Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetränke.

Earlier this week, Channel 4 confirmed that its general counsel Prash Naik was stepping down from his position in August after three years in the role. The TV company is yet to find a replacement.
