Three Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) partners have left the firm's London office for moves to Mishcon de Reya and Barclays.

Mishcon has taken two of the departing partners – restructuring and insolvency partner David Leibowitz and property litigator Joanna Lampert. Leibowitz is leaving BLP after nearly 30 years with the firm, while Lampert has been at BLP since 1999.

The pair will start their new roles at Mishcons on 2 May.

Meanwhile, Barclays has recruited US securities partner Bobby Schrader. He has left BLP, but his start date at Barclays is not yet known. It is understood that BLP will maintain an informal relationship with Schrader for consultancy on US securities work.

BLP recruited Schrader in 2015 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he had worked since 2005. Schrader previously spent nine years at Linklaters in its London and Frankfurt offices.

The news comes after Farrer & Co recently recruited BLP London intellectual property (IP) partner Ian De Freitas. He was the latest partner to leave the firm's IP practice following a restructuring that has seen the firm pull out of trademark licensing and disputes work.

BLP is pushing forward with a strategy built around real estate, infrastructure, private wealth and financial services sector clients. The firm last year saw revenue fall by just under 2% to £254m, while profit per equity partner grew by 4% to £683,000.
