Dentons has made up seven UK lawyers to partner in a 54-strong global promotions round.
Four of the firm's London lawyers have joined the partnership, with three made up in Milton Keynes – an increase on last year, when just two UK partners were promoted across both offices.
The new City partners are Virginia Allen (employment), Joseph Altendorff (corporate), Helen Bowdren (environment) and Suhail Qureshi (tax), while the promotions in Milton Keynes include real estate duo Greg Rigby and David Payton, and corporate senior associate Christopher Colclough.
The majority of the firm's promotions this year were in North America, with 16 lawyers made up across nine US offices, alongside 15 promoted in Canada.
Fourteen lawyers were also made up across Europe, in locations including Paris, Berlin and Frankfurt.
Of the 54 new partners, 19 are women, equating to more than one third (35%) of the promotions.
Global CEO Elliott Portnoy said: "Elevating any one of our talented practitioners to partner is an incredibly important milestone in their career and in the longevity of our firm. This year's fantastically diverse class strengthens our global partnership and will ensure Dentons continues to meet and exceed our clients' expectations. Congratulations to all our new partners."
Dentons has been expanding in Europe of late, including a recent merger with Amsterdam law firm Boekel and the takeover of DLA Piper's 11-lawyer Tbilisi base.
The partner promotions came into effect in Canada on 1 February, on 1 January in Europe and on 1 May in the UK.
