Gibson Dunn has hired Latham & Watkins dispute resolution and white-collar defence partner Finn Zeidler in Frankfurt.

Zeidler joined Latham in 2006 and practised in the firm's litigation and trial department.

The move will reunite him with two former Latham partners who joined Gibson Dunn to launch its Frankfurt office in June 2016.

Former Latham Frankfurt office managing partner Dirk Oberbracht and corporate partner Wilhelm Reinhardt joined Gibson to open the office in September last year, the firm's second base in Germany alongside Munich, and its fifth in Europe alongside London, Paris and Brussels.

Gibson Dunn chair and managing partner Ken Doran said: "Finn has a broad-based practice that covers complex commercial litigation, as well as white-collar defence, investigations and enforcement matters, particularly in the financial services industry. His arrival will enhance our practice in Germany and complement our premiere litigation and white-collar defence practice."

With the addition of Zeidler, Gibson Dunn's Frankfurt office will now consist of seven lawyers, including four partners, according to the firm's website.

Gibson Dunn has invested heavily in its European operations during the past few years.

A&O Paris TMT group head Ahmed Baladi joined the firm, alongside counsel Vera Lukic and associates Emmanuelle Bartoli and Adelaide Cassanet.

The firm has also targeted London for growth, with recent hires including Proskauer Rose private equity partner James Howe.
