Clyde & Co opens intellectual property-focused office in Kuwait
Firm completes six-office network of IP offices across the Gulf Cooperation Council

Clyde & Co has announced that it has completed the set-up of a network of intellectual property (IP) offices across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), with the launch of an office in Kuwait.
The new Kuwait base is part of the Clyde IP Services brand, which provides trade mark and patent filing advice. The network now has offices across the rest of the GCC in Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.
The GCC is in the process of unifying its IP laws, with a GCC patent law and a GCC trade mark law.
Clydes IP head Rob Deans said: "The completion of our GCC network of offices highlights our commitment to expanding our IP capabilities across the Middle East.
"Importantly, this coincides with the introduction of the GCC trade mark law, which increases the importance of being able to provide a consistent and seamless service across the region."
The news comes after Clydes announced yesterday (10 May) that it is expanding in Latin America via a merger with Mexican law firm Garza Tello & Asociados. The firm will be fully integrated into Clydes' single global partnership.
