Osborne Clarke has promoted six lawyers to partner in the UK and Germany.

Four of the new partners are based in Bristol, with one in London and one in Cologne. The firm also made up six lawyers last year and, as was the case then, just one of the new partners is female.

The new appointments are spread across a number of sectors, including financial services, digital business, energy, utilities, real estate and infrastructure.

All of the appointments were effective from 1 May, apart from the Cologne promotion, which has been in place since 1 January.

UK managing partner Ray Berg said: "Congratulations to our newly promoted colleagues who are all making contributions to our ongoing success. Each of them have shown they are committed to our sector-first strategy, understand what clients want from their lawyers and deliver on expectations."

The promotions bring Osborne Clarke's total partner headcount to 236.

Other UK top 50 firms to have announced their 2016 partner promotions in recent weeks include Watson Farley & Williams, which added six; DAC Beachcroft, Weightmans and Blake Morgan, which all promoted nine lawyers; and Bond Dickinson and RPC, which made up three and four respectively.
