DLA Piper continues Africa expansion as Senegal and Tunisia firms join network
New additions mean firm's Africa network now covers 19 countries on the continent

DLA Piper has expanded its Africa presence with the addition of law firms in Senegal and Tunisia to its network on the continent.
The new additions mean the DLA Africa network now has member firms in 19 countries on the continent.
The new additions are Tunisian firm El Ajeri Lawyers and Senegalese firm GENI & KEBE.
El Ajeri is a full service firm based in Tunis. It has 10 lawyers and advises clients across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, transport, trade, banking and government contracts.
Meanwhile, GENI & KEBE, which is based in Dakar, has 27 lawyers and jurists advising on commercial law, litigation and arbitration.
DLA Paris co-managing partner Michel Frieh said: "This is an important step for both our Paris and Casablanca offices, which have been at the forefront of establishing these relationships with our peers. With their inclusion, DLA Piper Africa now has a presence across all of the regions on the continent from north to south and east to west, in all working languages."
The news comes after DLA added eight-partner Lagos firm Olajide Oyewole to its the network this May, handing the firm its first presence in Nigeria.
DLA provides knowledge management, business development, communications and training support to its alliance firms, and also runs a secondment programme whereby lawyers from alliance firms are posted to DLA offices throughout the world.
The firm launched its own offices in Africa in Casablanca in 2015 and Johannesburg in 2016. The Johannesburg launch came after the breakdown of its 10-year alliance with South African firm Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr in 2015.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.
