Withers posts 8% revenue rise and promotes eight to partnership
Firm makes up five London lawyers as turnover growth continues

Withers has announced an 8% revenue rise for 2016-17 alongside the promotion of eight lawyers to its partnership, including six in London.
The firm has seen revenues rise to £174.5m for the year ending 30 June, up from £161.5m last year. The firm has grown consistently during the past 10 years, with revenues more than doubling since 2006-07, when the firm took in £78.2m.
Withers has not yet released its 2016-17 profit figures. Last year, the firm saw profit per equity partner (PEP) fall 17% to £305,000.
The firm has also promoted eight lawyers to its partnership, with the six City promotions coming alongside one in the US and one in Hong Kong.
The promotions, which took effect on 1 July, mark an increase on last year, when the firm made up seven lawyers.
Withers CEO Margaret Robertson (pictured) said: "This year's financial results are very encouraging, and are the result of hard work by our people around the world and focused management of the firm following our substantial international growth over the past few years.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
