Spanish, French and Brazilian firms advise on record-breaking £200m Neymar transfer to PSG
Law firms line up to advise as Brazilian striker becomes most expensive player in football history

An international line-up of law firms have advised on the record-breaking €222m (£200m) transfer of Brazilian striker Neymar from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Neymar's transfer is the most expensive in football history, eclipsing the previous record of €105m (£89.3m) paid by Manchester United to Juventus for French midfielder Paul Pogba last year.
Brazilian firm Bichara & Motta advised Neymar on the deal, fielding a team including sports law co-head Bichara Abidao Neto, founding partner Marcos Motta and international consultant Stefano Malvestio.
PSG was advised by a team from Paris firm Nataf Fajgenbaum et Associes including partner Marie-Helene Cohen, while the French club was advised on Spanish law by Valencia-based firm Ruiz-Huerta & Crespo's head of sports law Juan de Dios Crespo Perez.
Barcelona took advice from the club's in-house counsel.
According to Deloitte, Barcelona is the second richest club in European football with 2015-16 revenues of €620m (£561m). PSG ranks sixth with revenues of €521m (£471m) for the same year.
Neymar, who has spent four years at Barcelona after joining from Brazil's Santos in 2013, is his country's fourth-highest goalscorer of all-time, behind Pele, Ronaldo and Romario.
