Leading transatlantic law firms and deal teams are being called on to enter the Transatlantic Legal Awards.

The awards, which are hosted by Legal Week and The American Lawyer, will take place in London on 14 June.

There are 13 practice awards, including M&A Team of the Year (Large and Midmarket), Private Equity Team of the Year, Finance Team of the Year and Arbitration Team of the Year, while individual achievement will be recognised in the Dealmaker of the Year, Disputes/Regulatory Lawyer of the Year and General Counsel of the Year categories.

The ceremony will culminate with three flagship awards: Transatlantic Law Firm Leader of the Year, Transatlantic Independent Law Firm of the Year and Transatlantic Law Firm of the Year.

Last year, Clyde & Co and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan managing partner John Quinn were among the big winners.

Clydes (pictured) was named Transatlantic Law Firm of the Year, while Quinn picked up the award for Transatlantic Law Firm Leader of the Year.

Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom took home three awards, winning the Restructuring, Arbitration and Finance Team of the Year categories.

The judging panel will be made up of senior ALM journalists, led by Georgina Stanley and Gina Passarella, editors-in-chief of Legal Week and The American Lawyer respectively.
